NICVA’s fifth ‘Research on the Road’ clinic will be held in Portadown in partnership with County Armagh Community Development. This clinic offers advice and expertise on how to conduct reliable research.

It will provide a ‘rough guide’ to research methods and will also highlight the importance of research reports and other methods of dissemination. This event is specifically tailored for the voluntary and community sector.

The aim of this event is to inform participants about the importance of research to their work, assessing their organisation and how it can help with funding applications. The event will provide basic training in research methods, as well as highlighting useful sources of information. This event will examine;

  • The importance of research for future planning  
  • Designing research projects  
  • Questionnaire design  
  • Methods of dissemination  

The session takes place on Tuesday, 4 November from 6.30pm - 9.30pm in Carleton Street Orange Hall, Portadown, BT62 3EP.

The session is FREE, however spaces are limited. Bookings must be made by 28 October 2014.
