Children's Research Network for Ireland and Northern Ireland (CRNINI)

The Children’s Research Network has just launched a Research Skills Summer School series to be held on Thursday evenings in 9 Harcourt Street, 6-8pm. The fee is €10 for members and €20 for non-members per session and includes sandwiches, tea and coffee.

The summer school is aimed at practitioner researchers and research interested professionals, including early years educators, social workers, youth workers, teachers, research consultants and early career academics. The Summer School consists of a series of workshops including sessions on research design, sampling and recruitment; data collection methods; data analysis and training in different software packages; practitioner research; introduction to statistical analysis; ethics; and conducting literature searches and reviews, as well as reporting research findings and a practical writing exercise workshop. The workshops will also include a session on EBSCO, which has just been launched as a new CRN offer to members. Dates and facilitators will be confirmed soon.

The second workshop in the CRN Research Skills Summer School is a practical workshop on 'Designing Research'. This will take place at our office in 9 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 on Thursday, 17th August 6-8pm. In this workshop participants will get the opportunity to learn how to create a research question and design a small or large scale research project.

The first session booked out in a week so make sure to register your interest early!
