The 2016 Housing Finance Conference, which takes place on 1st September at the Ramada Plaza, Shaw's Bridge, Belfast, will address the key financial issues within the sector.

Potential sector reclassification, welfare reform, the Local Housing Allowance Cap, reducing public sector revenue streams…the financial challenges and risks for housing associations are considerable.

However, there is also a new political dynamic, continued capital expenditure by government and strong growth and financial viability in the local sector.

NIFHA’s 2016 Housing Finance Conference will explore the financial and regulatory operating environment for housing associations over the year ahead, offer practical sessions on key strategies to effectively manage risk and drive performance improvements and look at some of the developments in the sector over the past 12 months.

We have an expert line up of speakers ready to help housing associations and their partners understand and navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Martin Pitt, Audit and Assurance partner at PwC, will present the headlines from the 2016 Sector Global Accounts; the Department for Communities will provide a regulatory perspective; Brian Pickett from Rhondda Housing Association will present on Innovative Finance Models, with reference to the Welsh Housing Bond; Stephen Bull from Campbell Tickell will look at the financial risks of reclassification; and Savills will be leading a session on treasury management.
