Lobbying Westminster

This training will be taken by House of Commons staff from Westminster and is aimed at improving groups understanding of Westminster and how to increase their effectiveness of lobbying Westminster.

Gary Hart is the Houses of Parliament Regional Outreach Officer for Northern Ireland whose role is to promote public engagement with Parliament by delivering interactive presentations and workshops to civic, political, community, voluntary and social organisations.

This workshop aims to increase awareness, understanding and active involvement with Parliament. It will cover a number of topics, including:    

• how Parliament works
• contacting MPs and Lords
• engaging with legislation
• engaging with Select Committee inquiries
• All Party Parliamentary Groups
• how to campaign and lobby effectively.

This training is for anyone who wants to make their voice heard at Westminster.
