The project aims to achieve this through the social and personal development of the young people it encounters as well as using current effective youth work practices. Drumgor Detached Youth Work Project will promote consultation with the young people to ensure their voice has the opportunity of being heard at all levels.

Dementia Friendly East Belfast is a voluntary campaign to make East Belfast a friendlier place for people living with dementia, their families and friends, and older people. The campaign includes groups such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia NI, businesses, church groups and people living with dementia. The campaign is supported by Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, the Public Health Agency, and it is actively engaged with a number of facilities that support people living with dementia such as Mullen Mews and Syndenham Court.

Shopmobility Belfast is a charity, that can provide a mobility scooter or wheelchair free of charge between 10am and 4pm to help people get around the city centre, shopping centres and hospitals. We also provide a hire service if you need to take the equipment away for a period of time. Our service is open to EVERYONE who finds access to the city centre difficult, including people with disabilities, older people or those who, due to accident or illness, find themselves with temporary mobility difficulties.
