Short Strand Community Forum is an organisation with 23 member groups, it's purpose is to improve the quality of live for the residents living in Short Strand and also to avoid duplication of services provided.

Day Nursery and Family Centre

Flutterbies offers a part-time funded Pre-School for up to 16 children through the Education Authority. In October 2016 the Education Authority rated Flutterbies as 'GOOD'. Flutterbies is part of the social outreach of Cregagh Methodist Church.

Liberty Consortium manage the Playtrail project, located within the grounds of Ardnashee School & College. The site is used to provide programmes for children & young people aswell as Transition Services for young adults with learning disabilies.

Our core aim is to provide purposeful activities to individuals in the Causeway Coast and Glens who want to increase their confidence, motivation and self-belief while learning new skills. We focus on supporting people who have special or additional needs, mental health issues, are long-term unemployed or are undertaking community service. We support our clients by teaching them new skills, providing counselling and empowering them with the ability to make a difference in their lives.

Home-Start is a national charity with schemes in hundreds of local communities. We recruit and train volunteers to help families with young children. Our volunteers, who know about being a parent, support other parents by visiting them in their own home

The Charities Buying Group is a Community Interest Company and as such all profits go towards our CBG 4 Health Wellbeing Programme. We supply PPE and Hygiene products as well as other services to help you save money.

We are a playgroup in the Lower Shankill area and have children from ages 3-5.

Blaze is a youth club that is split into two sessions that meets in Glenavy Parish Church Hall. Juniors runs from 6:30pm - 7:45pm and senior from 8:00pm - 10:00pm.
