Citizens Advice is the largest advice charity in Northern Ireland, working against poverty and meeting the information and advice needs of over 95,000 people per year in member bureaux and over 320,000 people viewing more than 2.7 million topics online.

Citizens Advice is the largest advice charity in Northern Ireland, working against poverty and meeting the information and advice needs of around 95,000 people per year in member bureaux and over 320,000 people viewing more than 2.7 million topics online via our self-help website, citizensadvice.org.uk.

These members deal with over 330,000 issues across a wide range of advice categories, including benefits, debt, consumer, employment and housing issues.

We also represent the public at over 3,000 social security appeal tribunals a year.

Advice and guidance is available from 29 frontline offices across Northern Ireland and over 100 other outlets.

Citizens Advice works in partnership with many different organisations to provide a comprehensive advice and information service.

These include:

  • Macmillan Citizens Advice Welfare Rights Project, a project developed in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to provide a welfare benefits advice and information service for those affected by cancer throughout Northern Ireland.
  • Pension Wise is a government service set up to help people understand the pension options available to them. It will offer guidance to help empower people to make informed decisions about their pension which are best for their individual circumstances. People approaching retirement can find out more by visiting the Pension Wise website.   • Citizens Advice Northern Ireland and the Money Advice Service have launched a new Debt Advice Service for people across Northern Ireland who need help with their debt problems. The service is available via phone, email and face-to-face appointment across the 29 frontline Citizens Advice offices across the region.
