What Is Sure Start? Sure Start is a government initiative established to work with expectant parents and families with children aged four and under. Sure Start aims to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of pre-school children to ensure they are ready to flourish when they get to school. Coleraine Sure Start Partnership Coleraine Sure Start Partnership is an organisation which is made up of a number of partners working together to meet the following goals: Improving children’s social and emotional development Improving children’s health Improving children’s ability to learn Strengthening families and communities Increasing productivity We do this by providing a range of services to anyone in the Sure Start area who is expecting a baby or who has a child up to the age of four. The services provided are delivered by Sure Start employees or by individuals employed by partners and funded by Coleraine Sure Start Partnership.
