Latest Funding Opportunity for the Community and Voluntary Sector - Community Service Work Placements Grant Aid 2018-19

PBNI invites applications from organisations in the Community and Voluntary Sector to provide placements in the community.

Community Service Work Placements Grant Aid 2018-19

PBNI has responsibility for securing local placements for individuals who are subject to Community Service/ Supervised Activity Orders imposed by the Courts. (Supervised Activity Orders are not yet in place, but are a likely development during 2018/19).

To fulfil the obligations of these Orders many of the people to which they are subject complete unpaid work placements within their local communities. PBNI invites applications from organisations in the Community and Voluntary Sector to provide placements in the community. Successful applicants will be required to provide meaningful work and effective supervision of people subject to any such Court Orders. They will also be required to maintain records of work to provide evidence towards the achievement of positive outcomes for participants.

At the time of publication there is no agreed budget for Probation Board for Northern Ireland for financial year 2018-19. Decisions on number and monetary value of the grant allocation will be based on the number of suitable applications, available placements and the final 2018-19 budget settlement to meet our operational requirements across Northern Ireland.

Please note that the 2018-19 application form has been updated. We recommend that you read and fully understand the contents before submitting an application for funding.
