Home-Start Lake-Land and Irvinestown have been given a fantastic opportunity to raise funds and extend our service to families in Fermanagh. Home-Start Lake-Land & Irvinestown, which supports families across the rural county of Fermanagh, has been shortlisted as one of five Comic Relief funded charities to be awarded extra funding. Run in conjunction with Netmums, (the UK’s biggest parenting website), Comic Relief will be offering grants ranging from £80,000- £10,000 to the five shortlisted charities. From Monday 25th February to Friday 15th March, (Red Nose Day), Netmums will be highlighting all five charities and the work they carry out with their Comic Relief funding. http://www.netmums.com/home/netmums-campaigns/comic-relief-vote-for-your-charity Please vote, by clicking above, and extend the opportunity to your contacts. Angela O’Kane, coordinator at Home-Start Lake-Land & Irvinestown said: “We urge the people of Northern Ireland to get behind us and vote. We are the only Northern Ireland charity to be shortlisted. Receiving an extra £80,000 of funding from Comic Relief will mean that we can offer even more vital, confidential and non-judgmental support to families. Many of our families say that without Home-Start in their lives, they simply wouldn’t cope.”
