CYPSP Think Family Leaflets - So Your Mum or Dad Has A Mental Illness
The Regional Think Family Sub Group of the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) has overseen the development of two leaflets on parental mental health to support children and young peoplen in Northern Ireland
The leaflets have been developed by Participation Network as a direct result of the CYPSP Think Family Action Plan under the theme of improving communication and information sharing among professionals. The two leaflets are designed to capture the key messages of parental mental health in a way that is relevant for children and also for an older audience of young people. The Regional Think Family Sub Group are holding Awareness Sessions in each Health and Social Care Trust area to launch these leaflets and also to raise awareness of the Think Family Sub Group, the work they are undertaking, and the work of the Think Family Interface Groups in each of the Health and Social Care Trusts. These sessions are aimed at Adult Mental Health and Family and Childcare staff within the Health and Social Care Trusts.
