Communities in Transition - Pre Market Engagement Sessions
The NI Executive has agreed that the Tackling Paramilitarism Programme should be supported for a further three years (April 2021 – March 2024). A key element of the Programme is the Communities in Transition Project, which is aimed at building community capacity in 8 geographic areas where paramilitary activity and associated criminality continues to have a negative impact.
The Communities in Transition Project has been delivering interventions in these areas for the past 15 months and in this time has seen positive impacts in a number of communities. It is recognised though that the issues we are all trying to deal with are complex and will take a more sustained period of intervention to see the lasting impact that we all desire.
The Communities in Transition Team are currently finalising plans for the next Phase of the Project. As with the first phase of the Project, all interventions will be commissioned through public procurement exercises.
Prior to these interventions being published for procurement, a series of pre-market engagement sessions are being arranged. These sessions will be an opportunity for potential delivery organisations to hear more about the purpose of the Communities in Transition Project, and to discuss the draft detailed project plans for interventions in each of the 8 areas of focus.
The pre-market engagement sessions will be held online and are taking place as follows:
