'What Next?' is a National Lottery Community Funded 3-year project will offer practical support for young people with additional needs who face challenges in making their transition into adult life.

‘What Next?’ will offer training programmes aimed at developing social and communication skills, confidence and self-esteem and prevention of poor mental health.

‘ What Next?’ Youth Project Officer will play a key role in the development, management, delivery, and evaluation of the programme and the dissemination of evidence of project impact and outcomes.

The post holder will work directly with young people with additional needs on the ‘What Next?’ Project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund - Empowering Young People.

Main Duties will include:

Promotion and recruitment young people for participation in the programme and assist the Services Manager in the development and implementation of the project, its goals and outcomes to ensure its success in line with funding.

To manage, support and supervise all staff, volunteers within ‘What Next? programme

Will undertake duties under the direction of the Services Manager to ensure the planning, delivery, implementation and evaluation of the project.

Maintain excellent working relationships with young people, families, staff and volunteer teams.
