Youth Education volunteers are vital enabling the team to deliver workshops which aim to reduce the harmful effects of stigmatising behaviour around migration, local conflict and its consequences and first aid emergencies linked to risky behaviour around drugs and alcohol, by working with young people to explore humanitarian values and to build their personal, social, emotional and critical thinking skills.
The content of the workshops delivered will be determined by the specific needs of the young people we are working with.
We're looking for someone who is positive about young people and believes that they can make a difference. Previous experience of youth work or teaching is desirable however we also welcome those with no previous experience of working with young people but have a passion for education as full training and development is provided.
You need to have good interpersonal, diplomacy, communication and teamwork skills although full training can be given for any specific requirements.
