Youth Development Worker

Cliftonville Community Regeneration Forum

JNC Scale 17-20 (£28,017-£30,318)
37.50
We are seeking to recruit a Youth Development Worker who will work to make a difference to the lives of young people in the Cliftonville area of North Belfast and give them the best start in life.

Cliftonville Community Regeneration Forum works in one of the most disadvantaged inner-city communities in Belfast. We are an interface community and our offices are located close to the Manor Street/Lower Oldpark peacewall.

According to the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency the Waterworks ward, where we primarily work, is located in the No.1 most disadvantaged ward in NI. Our young people come from families that suffer from acute forms of poverty and disadvantage.

The Youth Development Worker will work as part of a team and be responsible for supporting and further developing the youth infrastructure in the Cliftonville area. The project has already operated for more than ten years and we hope the successful candidate will continue developing the project in the year's ahead.

Cliftonville Community Regeneration Forum works across three strategic themes: 1) Regeneration, 2) Children and Young People, and 3) Peace Building and Good Relations.
