Young People's Resilience Programme Co-ordinator

As a co-ordinator for the Young People’s Resilience Programme, you are responsible for overall oversight, implementation and monitoring in Northern Ireland. Coordinate implementation of the programme, and manage the team responsible for its delivery.

Mental Health UK brings together four national mental health charities working across the UK. From September 2019 we are delivering our Young People’s Programme, Bloom, in schools, and from April 2020 we will be delivering, your Resilience Programme, in non-school settings, which aims to build resilience of 14-18 year olds, through transitions in their lives.

The role involves:

As a co-ordinator for the Young People’s Resilience Programme, you are responsible for overall oversight, implementation and monitoring in Northern Ireland. Coordinate implementation of the programme, and manage the team responsible for its delivery. Ensure that a robust evaluation system exists, and work with the other nation managers to ensure there is a standardised programme approach.

Key objectives for the post:

  • Responsible for recruiting and managing a team of individuals who will deliver the programme inside young people settings.
  • Maintain a positive supportive working relationship with young people’s settings during the recruitment, onboarding and delivery of the programme.
  • Work in an integrated way with all Mental Health UK colleagues and in particular the other nation managers, to deliver an effective programme that meets the overall programme outcomes for change amongst young people
  • Create a clear overall project plan including timelines milestones, communication strategy, delivery objectives and evaluation.
  • Responsible for project implementation and ongoing delivery, ensuring budgets, staff and resources are effectively managed.
  • Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the programme is evaluated, and timely and accurate reports are produced.
     

Experience and knowledge required:

  • Educated to GCSE level (grades A-C) to include Mathematics and English language (or equivalent).
  • 2 years, experience of project management skills and experience of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • 2 years, experience of building and managing positive rapport with diverse stakeholders, including young people, those with lived experience of mental health problems and external networks.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with young people settings
  • The ability to analyse and present information and produce/collate accurate reports for funders
