Our goals are to ensure that our organisation is always supported by the best and most reliable individual volunteers, and that they are correctly matched to enable us to fulfil our mission. Your job will be to recruit and manage volunteers.
  • Head Injury Support is a charity that responds to the ongoing support needs of survivors, carers and the wider family of an adult that has acquired a brain injury.
  • We provide opportunities to minimise social isolation through the provision of social, recreational and leisure activities and through involvement in meaningful and purposeful activities in our social economy business enterprise - ‘Creative Minds’ where the products created – arts, crafts and upcycling are sold from our shop front and the money reinvested into the organisation
  • We also provide advice and guidance and signposting for those who require it.
  • Through recent awarding of funding through ‘The National Lottery - People & Community Programme’, to deliver a four-year support programme that will grow and develop our budding craft based social enterprise business and that will see the involvement of our survivors from the 3 satellite groups that we deliver support too and include people who have had a diagnosis of stroke.
  • We are a person-centred organisation – all our Projects are led by our beneficiaries. Under the guidance and lead of the SDM and Project Leads a key feature is a partnership model with our survivors. This forms the development, delivery and content, to ensure that it remains responsive - through their involvement and feedback and that we remain cognisant as to their interests and needs.
