User Forum Facilitator

The User Forum's aim is to be the voice of Service Users province wide and create an inclusive society for all.

The Cedar foundation deliver a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.

The Cedar User Forum Facilitator will be responsible for providing direct support to the Newry User Forum group.

Work with other UF facilitators, local chairperson and local champions to develop existing local user forum group and provide guidance and support to the local user forum group to ensure delivery of the Forum’s agreed aims and objectives.

 

Hours:                  8 hours

Contract:             Permanent

Location:             Newry

Hourly Rate:       3 point incremental scale starting on £18,426 pro-rata

Essential:           

  • RQF level 2 Health & Social Care or other relevant qualification at this level.
  • GCSE English & Maths Grade A-C or equivalent.
  • At least 6 month’s experience of supporting/mentoring others with a disability.
  • Experience of using standard office IT applications such as Word, the internet and e-mail.
  • Access to transport which enables the individual to meet the requirements of the post in full.*

* Post includes travel between various locations in Newry and occasional travel to other parts of Northern Ireland.
