Twisel Lodge require a Team Leader to lead the shift, ensuring staff give support that follows individual’s care plans and personal support plans.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Team Leader – Twisel Lodge                                           REF: 19-155-TL-TLWEB

 

The Cedar foundation deliver a range of services centred around the individual needs                       of each person and enabling people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Twisel Lodge provides residential care for up to eight people, who have Learning Disabilities and associated conditions.
 

Twisel Lodge require a Team Leader to lead the shift, ensuring staff give support that follows individual’s care plans and personal support plans. 

Shifts will be on a rotational basis that will include evenings/weekends/sleepovers.

 

Hours:                                  35 hours per week + sleep ins

Contract:                             Permanent

Location:                             Twisel Lodge, Residential services in Holywood

Salary:                                 £18,346 pa + sleep in payments, rising to £19,692

Essential:                           

  • Numerate and literate to keep records, handle clients finance, maintain records and write records.
  • NVQ 3 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent or willing to attain a Level 3 QCF qualification
  • Two years’ previous experience in a human services setting providing support/care
  • Experience of supervising staff & coordinating the provision of support & personal care 
  • Experience of working in partnership with service users, parents, health care professionals, carers, advocates and other agencies
  • Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook
  • A belief in inclusion, evidenced through work practice or personal experience
  • Hold a full current driving license valid for use in the UK and Ireland (consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence)
  • Registered N. Ireland Social Care Council if not registered must do so on successful application (NMC if nurse qualified)
