Team Leader

The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team and will work on the Rota on an as required basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

Team Leader – South Belfast                                         

As part of the Living Options services, the Team Leader will enable clients who have learning / physical disabilities and associated conditions, to pursue a valued lifestyle by supporting them with personal care as well as with social, emotional, spiritual and daily activity needs.

Hillmount Close and Hillmount Court were designed to provide services for people who have high Supported Living needs and who wish to live independently with an enhanced quality of life. Current service users include people with physical disability, brain injury and both cognitive and sensory impairment
There are seven apartments in Hillmount Close and five bungalows in Hillmount Court most of which are fully adapted with SMART technology to assist you with daily living and all of which are designed for single occupancy.
The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team and will work on the  Rota on an as required basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends. 30 Hours per week plus sleep-ins.

Location:                             Hillmount Close Supported Living Service
Hourly Rate:                       £18,346 per annum pro rata + sleep in payments

Essential:                           

  • Numerate and literate to keep records, handle clients finance, maintain records and write records.
  • NVQ 3 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent or willing to attain a Level 3 QCF qualification
  • Two years’ previous experience in a human services setting providing support/care
  • Experience of working in partnership with service users, parents, health care professionals, carers, advocates and other agencies
  • Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook
  • A belief in inclusion, evidenced through work practice or personal experience
  • Registered N. Ireland Social Care Council if not registered must do so on successful application (NMC if nurse qualified)
