Team Leader

The role involves:

To improve the lives of people experiencing severe mental health difficulties by:

• Supporting the Registered Manager with the day to day management of the service(s) and the staff team operating in the area.
• To encourage and support active participation of service users underpinned by the Recovery model.

Key objectives for the post:

• To share the line management of the team including induction, supervision etc
• To support the Registered Manager with managing the day to day operations of the service to ensure quality service provision
• To support the Registered Manager to ensure that the service meets its Key Performance Indicators as stipulated in the service level agreement.
• Supporting individuals potentially in a stressful situation, people in crisis and individuals considering suicide or intending to harm themselves

Experience and knowledge required:

• QCF level 5 in Leadership in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) OR
• A relevant qualification that allows you to be registered under the Domiciliary Care Standards OR
• Hold the relevant RQIA registration for the post OR
• Be willing to work towards QCF level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care
• Must have at least one year’s experience of managing a service including managing a staff team AND
• Must have at least two years’ experience of providing support to people with severe mental illness OR
• Must have at least three years experience of the above carried out in a voluntary capacity as a member of a voluntary organisation
