As part of the Living Options services, the Team Leader will provide social, emotional, spiritual and personal care for adults who have learning disabilities and associated conditions. The Team Leader will provide leadership and supervise the Support Team and will work on the rota on an as required basis that includes unsociable hours and weekends including sleep- ins.

The Team Leaders will ensure their own actions and behaviour complies with Cedar’s policy and procedures as well as statutory regulations and quality standards.

Hours:                                 35 hours per week

Contract:                             Permanent

Location:                             Twisel Lodge, Residential Services, Holywood

Salary/Hourly Rate:           £18,345 + sleep in payments

Essential Criteria:

• Numerate and literate to keep records, handle clients finances, maintain records and write reports.   
• NVQ/QCF 3 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent
• Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Two years’ previous experience in providing support/care.
• Experience of working in partnership with service users, families, health care professionals, carers, advocates and other agencies.
• Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook.
• Registered or willing to apply for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council (NMC if nurse qualified)
