We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as Team Coordinator, effectively supporting the Northern Ireland Team within UK Programmes, by providing proactive and comprehensive administration and financial support.

Our UK and Global Programmes Department delivers humanitarian and development programmes, builds partnerships with institutional donors – including governments, multi-laterals and trusts – and drives lasting change. Together, we save children's lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

As NI Team Coordinator you will have direct responsibility in the effective and smooth functioning of the team including PA support to the NI Management Team, and additional team wide support.

To be successful you will have proven experience of providing administrative support to a busy team, be flexible with excellent time management skills and you will be able to make judgement as to when to take the initiative. In addition, you will have:

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Excellent skills in work planning and managing a diverse set of priorities to meet deadlines to a consistently high standard.
  • Excellent skills in setting up and maintaining administrative processes and office systems.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data and provide accurate information to team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to identify key points from complex material or information.
  • Highly computer literate and confident with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.

Personal Skills:

  • Ability to work with a wide range of people, in particular presenting a professional image on behalf of Save the Children.
  • Commitment to learning and development, and to look for ways in which to make improvements.
  • Ability to be calm under pressure and help build a collaborative team culture.
  • Ability to communicate assertively, but sensitively with a wide range of people both written and verbally.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and able to make judgement as to when to take the initiative.
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential information.

Education/Professional Skills:

  • Previous experience providing administration support to senior management.
  • Experience of initiating, planning and developing areas of work.
  • A demonstrated commitment and interest in the aims of Save the Children
