The Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals in receipt of services within the Cedar Foundation Supported Living Schemes.

The Cedar Foundation deliver a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.

Ardkeen and Hillmount were designed to provide services for people who have high Supported Living needs and who wish to live independently with an enhanced quality of life. Current service users include people with physical disability, brain injury and both cognitive and sensory impairment
Housing support is combined with care and technology to increase independence and enhance quality of life. The latest in assistive (SMART) technology is also included to assist individuals with daily tasks and all of which are designed for single occupancy.
The Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals in receipt of services within the Cedar Foundation Supported Living Schemes.

Through a key worker system, he/she will also be involved in the designing of individual programmes of support and be responsible for delivering the accommodation support and care packages.

Hours: 1 x 35 - 1 x32 - Based in Ardkeen BT9 6HL 1 x 16 hours Based in Hillmount BT10 0DE
Contract: Permanent
Location: South Belfast
Hourly Rate: £15,892 per annum (pro-rata) based on a 35 hour week contract £8.66 per hour

Essential: 
Numeracy & literacy (English language) skills.
Demonstrable evidence of 6 months experience of providing physical care/support for individuals.
Effective verbal & written communication skills.

ACCESS NI

Successful candidates will be appointed following satisfactory Access NI and other pre-employment checks. This Post is subject to an Enhanced Access NI check.
