We are seeking Support Workers and Relief Support Workers to join our Learning disabilities/mental health services based in Kimberley House Newtownards Interviews will take place on the 15th February 2023

Support Worker / Relief Support Workers

Kimberley House


Kimberley House Supported Living Service is located in Newtownards. It currently supports 9 individuals with learning disability across two sites.


The main KH building consists of 7 single occupancy flats and the property we refer to as ‘number 80’ is a shared house for 2 of our service users.


Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.


An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs to manage their emotions.


So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.

The role involves shift work and as such flexibility to work a combination of early shifts, late shifts and also weekends is essential. Availability to do x2 sleep over shifts per month is required.

Support Worker


Full time and Relief Roles Available



£19,671.60 – 21,515.00



*Salary based on working full time hours. Salary dependent on qualification/experience.  Where the role requires sleep-ins a minimum additional payment of £45 per night applies. Full Time and Relief Positions are available and can be discussed at interview.
