Are you looking for a rewarding job where you go home knowing that you have made a real impact on someone’s life?

About the role

Sense is currently recruiting a Support Worker to join our service in Dunmurry, attracting a salary of £9.00 per hour, on a permanent contract working up to 28 hours per week, Flexibility is needed as working times will include evenings and weekends.

As a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Our service supports adults with complex disabilities, including autism and mental health needs. In addition to assisting with personal care, you’ll support our residents to do the activities they enjoy; this might include sports, acting, trips to the theatre, cooking, or supporting someone to attend social events.

Previous care experience is not required for this role. It is really important that you’re adaptable and able to work on your own initiative, always putting the people we support first. We are looking for people that really embrace our values.

Everything we do is underpinned by five core values. These values shape the way we work as we pursue our vision of a world where no one, no matter how complex their disabilities is isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential - We include, We collaborate, We find a way, We challenge, We celebrate.

Our mission is to remove barriers to communication so that everyone has the opportunity to live their life to the full. We’re here for every person living with complex disabilities that can make it a challenge to communicate, access information and take part in life.

Take a look at the video below to see why we do what we do.
