Working from home, part time as part of a national support team delivering excellent support for our members in Northern Ireland with myasthenia, their families and carers and promoting awareness of myaware and its aims and objectives.

A committed, caring and well organised individual is needed to deliver excellent support for our members with myasthenia, their families and carers and to promote awareness of myaware and its aims and objectives.  A significant part of the role will involve developing and managing Support Groups including organising and attending meetings and regional conference. To meet the needs of our members events are sometimes during weekends and evenings, occasional meetings are held at our headquarters in Derby and therefore flexible working hours are a necessity for this role which is based on two and a half days per week. The successful applicant will also recruit, train and motivate volunteers to help locally. The role also involves developing good working relationships with local hospitals and healthcare professionals in the region to help grow membership and engagement.

Although the role is home based the Support Coordinator will be working as part of a UK wide team in particular with fundraising colleagues to manage expenditure of the support budget, identify potential income streams and to support community fundraising events locally.

The requirement to manage records and relationships through the CRM system in line with GDPR legislation necessitates a well organised and efficient individual with IT skills.

It is a requirement for this role to have access to own transport and a mileage allowance will be paid.
