Bryson Care – Children Services requires a;
Support and Learning Mentor
(Ref: F/SALM/B/205)
Fixed Term to 30th September 2021 
25 hours per week
Monday – Saturday (flexible)
£10.38 per hour plus mileage
Belfast - Newtownabbey

Job Purpose:

Bryson Care’s Home Based Learning Support and Mentoring Service aims to increase the readiness of children and young people aged between 4 &14 years, to take advantage of learning opportunities in school enabling them to reach their personal potential. We will work with them and their parents/caregivers to overcome social, emotional and/or behavioural stresses which affect their ability to learn - factors which have most likely been exacerbated by COVID 19 restrictions.

Essential Criteria:
Minimum of QCF Level 3 Child Care qualification or:
Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 3 Children & Young People
NVQ Level 3 Children’s Care, Learning & Development
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care & Education (VRQ)
CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Child Care & Education (Wales and NI)
BTEC Higher National Diploma in Childcare Studies
BTEC National Diploma in Childcare Studies
Degree in Social Work
Minimum of 1 years’ paid employment working with children or families
5 GCSE’s at grade C and above (or equivalent) including English Language
1 years’ experience recording and reporting on work done
Full & clean drivers licence and access to transport
