Strive Project Youth Support Worker L/Derry

Youth Initiatives NI

£19,500 (pro rata)
20.00
Youth Initiatives NI, in partnership with Include Youth, NI Alternatives and Newstart seek to deliver “STRIVE” as part of the four-year (2017-2021) SEUPB Peace IV Regional Children and Young people’s programme.

Youth Initiatives NI is a cross-community youth work organisation that aims to awaken hope, inspire initiative and mobilise young people to make a vital contribution to their community and to reconciliation in Northern Ireland. Youth Initiatives specialises in outreach youth work and builds vibrant youth communities in areas of social need.

The Youth Initiatives’ Strive projects will work with 20-25 young people per year in each of four social need areas across Northern Ireland. Strive builds on YI’s model of good relations youth work that re-awakens imagination and builds a sense of adventure – accompanying young people through growth in personal development and good relations understanding.

Youth Initiatives L/Derry seeks a Youth Worker who has excellent communication skills, familiarity with a relationship-based youth work model, ability to quickly develop inter-community working relationships and have experience in outreach youth work in areas of socio-economic need. We seek a youth worker who will share in YI’s ethos, core values and five phase youth work methodology.
