START is a NEETS Project delivered in partnership with Include Youth. The START Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of the START Project within the Greater Shankill and North Belfast area.

Northern Ireland Alternatives wishes to recruit the following post:

 

 

  • START Co-ordinator for Greater Shankill Alternatives

· Start is a 3-6 month employability, training and personal development programme   

· Funded by European Social Fund (ESF) and Department for the Economy, and delivered in partnership with Include Youth, Give & Take Start improves the employability and increases the self-esteem and confidence of young people aged 16-24, who are not ready to take part in a training course, attend college or move into work.

 

·         This post is funded to 31st March 2022

                   

This post requires the following:

 

  • A 3rd level qualification in a related field
  • 4 years’ experience working with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.

OR

  • A relevant Youth work qualification or equivalent plus 5 years' experience working with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people

AND

  • 2 years’ experience in the delivery of group work programmes
  • An understanding of restorative practices
