The overall aim of the Social Inclusion Navigator service is that people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments living in the Northern H&SCT area are enabled to participate on an equitable basis in their community.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Social Inclusion Navigator                                                            REF: 19/154/SIN-CS-B/WEB

 

Purpose of the Job: 

The overall aim of the Social Inclusion Navigator service is that people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments living in the Northern H&SCT area are enabled to participate on an equitable basis in their community. 

 

Hours:                                  37 hours per week, Occasional out of hours working may be required.

 

Contract:                             Permanent

 

Locations:                           Northern HSCT area

                                             Office base: Cedar Foundation,  1A Woodside Road, Ballymena Office

 

Salary:                                4 point incremental scale starting at:  £22,462

 

Essential Criteria:

                               

• RQF Level 6 qualification (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree)

and

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of supporting people with disabilities or other vulnerable individuals to enhance their community engagement

 

OR

 

  • Minimum RQF level 4 qualification

and

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as above
  • *Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment.

*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.
