Sessional Telephone Support Worker

REACT is seeking to recruit sessional telephone support workers to deliver telephone support calls to members of the REACT Victims and Survivors Project.

REACT  Victims and Survivors Project offers Health and Well Being and Social Support services to individuals directly affected by the ‘Troubles’, their families, and carers in the Armagh area.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential check in and chat telephone support calls
  • Offer practical support services and signposting
  • Complete call records and provide a weekly update on calls and members support needs
  • Work autonomously and take responsibility for managing own calls

Eligibility Criteria

  • A qualification in trauma studies
  • A clear understanding of the needs of victims/survivors of the troubles
  • A clear understanding of trauma related mental health issues
  • A current Access NI Check

Duration of Contract

The contract is initially for a 3 month period with the possibility of this being extended depending on need.
