Positive Futures is Northern Ireland’s leading learning disability, acquired brain injury and autistic spectrum condition charity.  We employ over 600 people throughout the island of Ireland

We have the following management opportunities.  

Service Manager 

Lagan Supported Living Service 

Belfast 

37.5 hours per week

 £31,525 -£35,000 per annum  

We are currently developing a new supported living service in Belfast.  We require a Service Manager who can establish and manage this service for Positive Futures. He/she will work with external and internal partners to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service that will be built around the needs of the people we support.

Shortlisting Criteria 

We will shortlist based on whether you meet the criteria outlined below:

• Relevant recognised Health and Personal Social Services Professional Qualification, i.e. Social Work or Nurse (level 1 and above), or Allied Health Professional, and

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a health and social care setting, providing services to people with a learning disability and/or autistic spectrum condition and/or acquired brain injury. This must include at least 2 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff / volunteers and financial management

OR

• A QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management), and

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health and social care setting, providing services to people with a learning disability and / or autistic spectrum condition and / or acquired brain injury. This must include at least 2 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting to include supervision of staff / volunteers and financial management

OR

• 5 years’ practice experience in a health and social care setting, providing services to people with a learning disability and / or autistic spectrum condition and / or acquired brain injury. This must include at least 2 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting to include supervision of staff / volunteers and financial management, and 

• Committed to achieving QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management) within 2 years of employment

AND

• Be registered, or eligible for registration on appointment, on the NISCC register without condition, and

• Hold a full and valid UK driving licence with access to a car which is insured for business use.  This criteria is waived for candidates unable to meet it due to disability.
