Positive Futures is Northern Ireland’s leading learning disability, acquired brain injury and autistic spectrum condition charity.  We currently employ over 600 people throughout the island of Ireland. The Sperrin Supported Living Service supports 11 individuals. With new referrals we are growing and looking for:

Senior Support Workers

Full Time contracts available. Contracts and shift patterns will be mutually agreed.
At present the Service is particularly interested in people who can work some weekends and nights as well as day shifts.

You will:

• Support people to live the lives they want in their own homes
• Work in a team to deliver support on a 24 hour shift schedule
• Take part in Person Centred Supervision and Appraisal with Line Manager and carry these out with Support Workers
• Take responsibility as "Shift Leader" offering advice / guidance to other staff as required

What we need you to have:

• At least 2 years' experience of supporting people within a social care setting
• Experience of: 
  • assessment, development and implementation of Person Centred Care / Support Plans
  • using behaviour management strategies
  • assessing/managing risk
• A full driving licence and access to a car insured for business purposes* to transport people supported  

*This criteria is waived for candidates unable to meet it due to disability.
