The post holder will be responsible for managing the development team and providing the development capability to provide bespoke software solutions predominantly using the latest Microsoft technologies and for providing a technical support service.

Belfast Met are seeking to appoint a Senior Software Developer on a Full time basis.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the development team and providing the development capability to provide bespoke software solutions predominantly using the latest Microsoft technologies and for providing a technical support service for these solutions.

What you need:

Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge

EITHER

  • Hold a Level 6 qualification (Degree level), or above PLUS a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a software development team to successfully deliver business applications for the benefit of a complex organisation*

 

OR

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of leading a software development team to successfully deliver business applications for the benefit of a complex organisation*

 

  • Experience of leading and working in a team
  • Experience of understanding how businesses operate
  • Analytical and commercial experience using a range of software engineering technologies effectively in a practical environment
  • Experience of working on various projects within a professional software engineering environment with evidence of outputs/content
  • Experience of communicating across a range of audiences (e.g. peer group, senior management, users, customers, etc.)
  • Able to demonstrate a knowledge of the practices and tools used in the development of Software.
  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of using one or more development languages (C++, PHP, HTML, etc.)
  • Able to demonstrate that they have an ability for identifying and resolving problems and have an eye for detail
