Senior Project Officer

The main activities of the role are:

a) Leading volunteers in practical environmental projects across a variety of key sites.
b) Leading volunteers in community volunteering projects such as community gardens, management and improvements to community sites and urban open spaces activities.
c) Delivering TCV’s Green Gym© project to connect local people to green spaces for physical and mental health and social well-being benefits.
d) Working with unemployed people who are volunteering as part of TCV’s ESF programme, providing quality work experience to help increase work skills and employability.
e) Running community events and community development work.
f) Delivering environmental education workshops with schools and youth groups.
g) Recruiting volunteers to become involved in TCV’s projects.
h) Securing income from a diverse portfolio of sources including landowners, small grant schemes and delivery of projects in partnership with statutory agencies.

The post is currently for one year with a likely extension subject to funding.
