At Mencap we work in partnership with people with a learning disability. We do this by providing high quality, flexible services that support people, including young adults, to live as independently as possible in their own homes and in the community.

We are looking for caring and active individuals to join our team as a Relief Support Worker. If you’re passionate about your community, and the welfare of local people this role is ideal for you.

The opportunity has arisen helping to support people in the services and out in the community!

This post requires sleep-ins, working weekends and bank holidays. There are various daytime and evening shifts available!

Mencap provide housing options tailored to meet the needs of people with a learning disability in the Keady area.

You will be working in Supported Living and Community support services which will be supporting individuals build their independent living skills such as maintaining their tenancy, building and maintaining positive relationships, accessing their community and with personal care.

We are looking for people who are trustworthy and caring, inclusive and enthusiastic about putting people with a learning disability at the heart of everything they do, positive and are not afraid to challenge the wrong ways of thinking about learning disability. Experience within the care sector is an advantage but not essential as we will give you all the training needed to be able to start your new and rewarding career. Your shifts will cover mornings, evenings, sleep-ins including bank holidays.

These roles require you to be self-motivated, have excellent time management and communication skills as well as proven experience of working effectively within a team.
