Antrim Youth Information & Counselling Centre (AYICC) is a community organisation and registered charity that aims to enhance the quality of people’s lives through a holistic approach to personal growth by providing a community support services that empowers people to maximise their involvement within society.

The Charity is entering an exciting period of change as it develops a new transformative strategy.  The strategy aims to build on the work of it’s five staff as they deliver youth projects, counselling and training programmes to meet the needs of individuals, families, and the community.

Our Trustees have a strong ethos of working collectively across the organisation’s Board, Staff and Volunteers and applications are open to all regardless of age, ethnic or sexual orientation. Those interested in serving as an AYICC Trustee must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Have strong leadership skills
• A commitment to the work of AYICC
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Are a team player
• Understand the responsibilities of company directors and trustees and good governance
• Experience in change and project management 
• Willing to act impartially and apolitically
• Have strong analytical skills

We are particularly interested in strengthening the Board’s collective portfolio of competencies in some of the following areas:

• Business Leadership and Strategy
• Change Management
• Finance
• Communications and Engagement
• Human Resources
