It delivers critical services that are in line with local need including: childcare, young people, mental health and wellbeing, training and employment, property maintenance, facilities management and digital fabrication. Ashton has ten buildings in North Belfast from which diverse services are delivered to people of all ages.
Ashton Community Trust would like to invite individuals to join our board who share our values and are willing to support our work.
We are keen to receive enquires from all sections of the community with a focus on those people who are a qualified accountant.

Approximate Time Commitment
In addition to attending the main Board meetings, the Trustee will attend the finance and personnel committee meetings.
Time Commitment: Number of meetings per year:
- ACT board meetings – a minimum of 7 meetings per year, approximately 2 hours per meeting
- AGM – 1 meeting per year, approximately 1 hour
- Board review day – 1 per year, approximately 6 hours (includes preparation work)
- Finance & Personnel Meeting – 4 meetings per year, approximately 1.5 hours per meeting with some preparation work beforehand.
