DTNI is now recruiting a Community Asset Transfer Project Officer; £32,774 per annum (pro rata). The CAT Development Officer will engage public sector stakeholders to promote and raise awareness of the CAT policy framework.

Development Trusts NI (DTNI) is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons to lead as its Development Officer on Community Asset Transfer.

The Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Development Officer will deliver a programme of support to promote and advance the NI Executive CAT policy framework. This will include promotion of asset based community development and CAT as a strategy for sustainable development to the voluntary, community, charitable, faith and social enterprise sector (VCSE). The post holder will identify CAT opportunities, facilitate and support organisations prepare a formal expression of interest, identify and engage public sponsors to support the VCSE's interest and develop an outline business plan.

The successful candidate will lead on the advancement of CAT opportunities and manage the CAT disposal process for community, voluntary and social enterprise organisations (VCSE’s) seeking transfer of a surplus public asset. S/he will explore and develop opportunities for public/social partnership working in support of community ownership and local social and economic development; and s/he will provide business development and  policy advocacy support for member organisations and wider VCSE sector to advance community economic and social development, community rights and community ownership.
