Project Manager

REPORTS TO: Head of Service
SALARY: Points 28-31, £25166 - £27,892 per annum. A range of additional benefits are also available.
DEPARTMENT: Homelessness Services
LOCATION: Belfast (242 Antrim Road).
You may also be required to work other sites (temporarily or permanently) within reason when needs arise.
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week, primarily 9am to 5pm. Nonetheless, it is a condition of the post, to work flexibly to provide support across a 24/7 rota to meet the needs of the hostel and team. This may require working evenings, weekends and waking nights. The postholder will be required to provide on-call duties.

JOB PURPOSE: Responsibility for hostel management and leadership of staff to enable the effective and efficient service delivery of the team (prevention, accommodation, transition to the community).

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they meet each of the following essential criteria.
• Degree in Social Work or Youth and Community Work, or an equivalent qualification; AND 3 years’ recent full-time paid experience of working with at-risk young people.

Or (in lieu of a degree or qualification)
• Five years’ recent full-time paid experience of working with at-risk young people.

And (in addition to either of the above)
• Two years’ recent experience of managing and supervising staff in a similar setting;
Plus
• Two years’ recent experience of service delivery management and development within a similar setting;
Plus
• Full valid driving licence.
