To coordinate the Communities in Transition (CiT) Health and Wellbeing programme in the East Belfast CiT area. The post holder will deliver the specific requirements of the contract and align all developments with EBCDA’s established Health work.

Job Summary:       

To coordinate the Communities in Transition (CiT)  Health and Wellbeing programme in the East Belfast CiT area.  The post holder will deliver the specific requirements of the contract and align all developments with EBCDA’s established Health Development and Connections Programme (HDCP).  The post holder will develop community skills and increase knowledge in local neighbourhoods with regard to health and well-being issues. The post holder will work as part of a team to support the achievement and full implementation of the East Belfast Health Framework which contains the following five themes:

  • Health Hearts
  • Healthy Minds
  • Healthy Bodies
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Healthy Neighbourhoods

The post holder will have a coordinating and facilitative role with responsibility for increasing awareness of existing health and wellbeing services, production of a guide of services, engaging with residents and community groups to include the active participation of volunteers, coordinate events and issue specific intervention initiatives, and organise training on issues such as drugs, alcohol and mental health.
