We are looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for: developing and promoting policy to positively influence housing and homelessness policy and practice in Northern Ireland; and developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholder.

Essential Criteria for this post include:

  • At least 6 months full time (or equivalent part time) demonstrated experience of policy and public affairs work including lobbying work
  • Demonstrated experience of writing policy information including consultation responses, briefings and news articles.
  • Demonstrated experience of developing effective working relations with key decision makers/stakeholders including the public AND at least one of the following: Government, political parties, senior government officials or landlords.
  • A good understanding of social justice issues and government policies relevant to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.
  • Knowledge of the working of the NI Assembly or other parliamentary body
