PERIPATETIC FLOATING SUPPORT WORKER

FULL TIME, PERMANENT

MACS Floating Support services provide a range of interventions to assist young people aged 16 - 25 to access/maintain accommodation in the community

NOTE: This post has no fixed base and will move across MACS Floating Support teams in Belfast / Lisburn / Newry / Downpatrick to cover staffing gaps; such as long term sick or maternity. 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION – ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY POST HOLDER:

CRITERIA 1

  • 2 years’ experience of working with people with housing support needs.

OR

  • Degree in Social Work, youth and community Work or similar AND
  • 1 years’ experience of working with young people.

 

CRITERIA 2

  • Experience of supporting people to access and maintain appropriate benefits or income.

 

CRITERIA 3

  • Experience of safety and support planning.

 

CRITERIA 4

  • Ability to practice in line with MACS ethos and values.

 

CRITERIA 5

  • A full current driving license and access to a car is required so as to be able to meet the requirements of the post in full.

 

Salary: £23,100 per annum & pension at 4% of salary
