Triangle is a well established housing association providing a range of supported housing and general family accommodation throughout Northern Ireland.

Participation and Engagement Manager PEM/03/21

Salary:  £30,679 - £33,157 (Band 6 Levels 1-4)
Hours:  30 Hours
Location:  Travel required. Ballymena based

To ensure the delivery of Triangle’s Participation and Engagement Plan. This Plan aims to give  Service Users choice and control over their own lives and ensures they are at the heart of the Organisations decision making processes. The Post holder will co-ordinate and support person-centred meaningful activities to empower individuals, increase their confidence and facilitate personal growth to enable individuals to reach their full potential.

Participation and Engagement activities must be delivered in accordance with Triangle’s Core Values, Customer Service Standards and Customer Service Guide. It is essential that in line with the “duty of care” you actively challenge any dangerous, abusive, discriminatory, or exploitative behaviour or practices that place individuals at risk.Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Access Northern Ireland (ANI) check. 

Essential Criteria:
Possess a degree either in health and social care (level 5 equivalent)or community development

Four years’ experience in delivering community engagement or tenant participation initiatives with at least two years’ experience working with individuals with a learning disability/complex needs.

Be proficient in:    Outlook/Excel
                             PowerPoint
                             Microsoft Teams/Zoom
                             Relevant Software packages

Desirable Criteria:
Experience of compiling  submissions for  a bid/tender.to apply for funding

Experience of managing a project.

A willingness to learn software programmes like Movie Maker, Video Scribe, Photoshop & Inkscape
