Youth Support Officer - Orchardville

Orchardville is a registered charity under the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.  We have been supporting people with Learning Disabilities and / or Autism in employment in Belfast for over 35 years.  Founded in 1982 by a group of parents and carers who sought a more challenging alternative to Day Centres, Orchardville has continued to grow geographically and the services offered have developed and expanded substantially over the years.

Salary:  £10,816 per annum

Hours:  25 hours per week (7.30am – 12.30pm Monday – Friday),

Location:  Orchardville @ The Foundry, City East, 68-72 Newtownards Road, Belfast BT4 1GW

This post is supported by the International Fund for Ireland through its Personal Youth Development Programme and will be offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract basis, with possibility for further extension

The post-holder will:

Perform day-to-day catering duties in the cafe, while coaching and mentoring young people to develop employability skills in catering including front of house skills, customer service, barista and table service and food preparation. Assist the Youth Outreach Officer in the implementation of all aspects of the Personal Youth Development Programme
