Orchard @ The Grove Café provides catering services within the Grove Well-being centre in North Belfast, delivering a variety of delicious menu options using only high-quality local ingredients. This project will help us to raise awareness of learning disability and autism and create meaningful activity and skills development for participants.

To help us make Orchard @ The Grove a great success, we are currently recruiting for a:

Part-time Cook

Location: Grove Well-being Centre, 120 York Road, Belfast, BT15 3HF

Hours: 21 hours per week, on a rota basis. 

The café will be open 7 days a week between 9am – 7pm Monday – Friday, and 10am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Rotas will be provided in advance and flexibility will be given where possible.

Salary: £9.27 per hour (rising to £9.46 per hour after completion of a 6-month probationary period)

These roles will initially be offered on a fixed term contract basis until 31st December 2021, with possibility for extension.

To be shortlisted for these roles, you must have:

  • An NVQ Level 2 in a Catering Subject, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience of cooking in a busy café or similar environment
  • A Food Hygiene Certificate
  • An understanding of Health & Safety procedures in a kitchen
