. The Outlook Project Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary and this may include some manual handling tasks.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following:

 

Outlook Project Worker-                                                                     REF: 18/152/OPW/WEB

 

 

The Outlook Project Worker will enable young people to access a range of fun activities in their local area. It may be going to the cinema, attending a local youth club, supporting the young person in a sporting or other leisure activity. 

 

The Outlook Project Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary and this may include some manual handling tasks.

 

 

Hours:                                  18 Hours per Week

(Due to the nature of our work with young people, the majority of the Outlook Service is delivered late afternoons, evenings and weekends).

Contract:                             Permanent

Location:                             Western Health & Social Care Trust – (Southern Sector-Fermanagh Area)

Salary:                                  3 point incremental scale starting on £18,870 per annum, pro-rata

 

Essential Criteria:                      

  • Basic qualification to NVQ/QCF level 2 or equivalent Health & Social Care, Youth & Community Work or related field
  • Minimum of 6 months experience providing support to young people
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment

 

Successful candidates will be required to use their own personal vehicle to provide transport to children and young people

 

 

Desirable Criteria:                       

  • NISCC Registration
  • Experience & understanding of young disabled people
  • Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook
  • Experience of working with individuals with Challenging Behaviours
  • Awareness of RQIA & Domiciliary Regulations and Minimum Standards awareness
  • Awareness of Safeguarding Children & Young People and Reporting Procedures
