Online courses for employability & family support with CFSP

The Community Family Support Programme (CFSP) Family First Belfast Region offers a free employability programme with a wraparound of family support to anyone who is unemployed or working less than 16 hours/week.  

The CFSP’s qualified family support and employability mentors actively engage with parents, children and young people to address health, social and financial issues, and to develop employment, training and education opportunities.  They continue to do this via phone, email, text and online technology such as WhatsApp and Zoom.

CFSP work on a holistic family approach to deliver support with:

  • Improve family’s relationships.
  • Build healthier lifestyle for all the family.
  • New parenting skills, behavioural management.
  • Increased self-confidence and social skills.
  • Money management and benefits advice.
  • Develop new skills through education and training.
  • Help to create CVs and job search.
  • Preparation for job interviews.
  • Online coffee mornings on topics such as family activities at home, stress management, baking recipes and CV building, interview preparation and job searches.

CFSP offer OCN NI level 1 training courses through online technology:

  • Award in Managing Personal Finances.
  • Award in Social Media
  • Award in Personal Success and Well-Being.

Additional OCN NI level 1 courses in teaching settings will be offered at a later date:

  • Level 1 Award in IT User Skills (ITQ)
  • Level1 Award In Office Skills
  • Level 1 Award in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development
  • Level 1 Award in Healthy Living.

So do you:

•        Live in Belfast,

•        Have at least one member of the family aged 16 or over, unemployed or economically inactive.

Anyone can self-refer or referred by an organisation.
