Our National Councils are a vital link between the MS community – including our local groups and members - and our board and senior staff.
Volunteer with us and join the fight to Stop MS
We’re the MS Society – a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, listeners, organisers, ambassadors and fundraisers. Our volunteers are a key part of achieving our goals and their support is vital. Join us.
As the UK’s leading MS charity, our vision is to Stop MS. We have an exciting volunteering opportunity for people who share our ambition, to work with us to create a world free from the effects of MS whilst ensuring we support the everyday lives of people affected by MS now.
Our National Councils are a vital link between the MS community – including our local groups and members - and our board and senior staff. They are one of the ways in which we ensure that the day-to-day experience of people affected by MS is heard and understood. They help us make sure that voices from across the different parts of the UK inform our UK-wide strategy.
Our volunteers are the backbone of the MS Society and you would be joining a highly committed team of everyday superheroes who are helping our vision become a reality.
Ultimately, what we strive for is to give hope to those affected by MS both for the present and the future. If you can listen with intent to understand, promote and facilitate communication and collaboration then we would love to hear from you.
Our normal recruitment round starts in the spring. We are though interested in hearing from you at other points in the year as vacancies can arise at any time and because we are sometimes able to co-opt people.
For further information about our National Councils, including for an information pack, please contact Ann Wilson on [email protected] or 028 9080 2815.
We are committed to having diverse National Councils and would welcome interest that increases their diversity. People affected from MS are at the heart of our decisions and work and we particularly welcome interest from people affected by MS.
Please don’t worry about where you live in Northern Ireland. Whilst the roles are voluntary we pay expenses incurred. Having members of National Councils from different geographic areas is very important to the MS Society.
Together we are strong enough to Stop MS.
